Mosaic Services is a non-profit organization that works with K-1 families at the MRH Early Childhood Center. The organization provides after school enrichment opportunities and scholarships for activities such as dance lessons and baseball to children of low-income families. The purpose is to provide experiences for children with limited access to opportunities outside of school. Parents meet regularly to discuss ways to stack the odds in favor of our children to meet goals such as graduating from high school and attend college.
The organization was founded by MRH teacher, Heather Bailey and her husband, who witnessed hard-working families experience huge setbacks because of system gaps.. Because at-risk families often come from extended families that are also at-risk, the couple felt there needed to be an organization like Mosaic Services. They were inspired to do so by the life of a loved one who humbly served an at-risk population in New York City.
Mosaic Services is completely volunteer driven with 100 percent of donations going towards the mission and purpose. They depend on monetary donations from the community and their Annual Family Fun Run which occurs each September.
