Cheryl’s Herbs: is hosting a healing night on Thursday, December 13th 2012 from 7-9 p.m. Cheryl will lead a discussion on the importance of nutrition and the use of herbs and essential oils to de-stress and protect health.
School of Metaphysics: will be celebrating New Earth Arising on December 21st & December 22nd in their Windyville, MO peace dome. The day will be filled with meditation and contemplation to celebrate the end of the Mayan Calendar’s 5,000 year cycle and to welcome in a new age.
Abbie Takes Pictures: will be hosting an open house on Friday, December 14th from 7-11p.m. There will be drinks, appetizers, and a photo booth!
American Legion Post 103: is hosting a Christmas Party on Friday, December 14th. The party starts at 7 p.m.. Bring a dish or dessert & join them to celebrate the holiday season. We have been in business for 5 years, and in Maplewood for 4.
How is the real estate market looking?
I’ve been impressed by how its improving. Homes are selling. Our Property Management division is doing well too because leasing is on fire right now
What is the biggest thing happening for your business right now?
We have just had a few great new agents join us, and I am excited by all of the fresh ideas, perspectives, and experience that they are bringing to us.
Is there any particular business or professional accomplishment that you are most proud of?
We really enjoy doing the 5K for Maplewood. Its so rewarding seeing all the people here in costumes, and its great seeing how much the charities appreciate our support.
What are some of your favorite places to go/ things to do in Maplewood?
We go to The Post a lot. We love Saratoga. We also really enjoy going to the great events that our Chamber puts on.
Is there anything else that you would like to share?
We want more of our businesses and residents to get behind our 5K, we bring hundreds of people to Maplewood. Come, open your business, get involved, etc.

Madosky Chiropractic and Acupuncture Center to sponsor 16th Annual Food Drive
The 2012 holiday season marks the 16th year that Dr. William Madosky is sponsoring his Annual Holiday Food Drive. For the entire month of December you can drop off, any non-perishable food items (i.e. canned meat, fruit, soup, veggies and beans, or dry goods such as cereal, oatmeal and pasta) at the Madosky Chiropractic and Acupuncture Center at 2175 South Big Bend Boulevard, in Richmond Heights, Missouri. There will be a Drop Off Box inside. For every item donated Dr. Madosky will match it one to one! All proceeds to benefit a local food pantry.

The Business of the Year Award is an award that recognizes a Chamber business who demonstrated an exceptional contribution to their industry or community within the past year.
Criteria
The nominees will have made a major or visible contribution in the past year in one or more of the following areas:

A selection committee will vote on the nominees. The committee will be made up of Chamber Members not affiliated with either a nominee or nominator. The recipient of the Business of the Year Award will be announced the first week in January and the award presented at the Annual Meeting/First Quarter luncheon held in January.

To nominate a business for the 2012 Business of the Year Award, please fill out a nomination form. Business owners and/or employees are welcome to self-nominate their business. Return the form along with a letter supporting the nomination. Nominations received without a supporting letter will not be considered.
