Member Incentives
Prospective members ask a common question. "Tell me why we need a Chamber of Commerce?" That question is usually followed with, "What will the Chamber do for me?"
In order to have an active, growing area in which to live, we must have an organization like the Maplewood Chamber of Commerce. And while you may not have a direct dealing with the Chamber, we are constantly working on your behalf.
We do the research for new businesses or expanding firms, hook them up with whom they need to talk to and provide help they need.
We help solve concerns or problems businesses have with the City.
We supply information and send new residents brochures on our City, businesses, school district, recreational facilities, and anything else they need to settle into our community.
We help customers purchase locally, recommending members first. Our biennial Maplewood Business Directory hilights Chamber members and is distributed to every household and business. Or they call if there is a problem with a local merchant, which we always try to resolve.
We reach people, places, and organizations that are viable not only to the City of Maplewood's success but also to your business' success.
We are constantly looking for ways to increase the visability of Maplewood and raise awareness about our businesses and the community as a whole. Our 'Dining, Shopping & Entertainment' brochure is very popular and the Maplewood Show Home & Gardens was a smashing success.
We have established a number of new programs including quarterly membership luncheons and Bagels and Business where we have speakers on issues pertinent to Maplewood and the region, and educational seminars on topics of interest to local businesses.
The final answer to both questions is simple. The Maplewood Chamber of Commerce does all the little detail tasks that must be done if we are to be a community in motion. We are one of the reasons our area has been growing. We are here to see to it that our growth continues in an orderly fashion.
Your Chamber membership is an investment in your community, your business, and yourself. It is through the Chamber and its' program of work that we bridge the gap that enables us to reach people, places, and organizations viable to our success as individuals and as a community. Please consider strengthening our organization with your membership.
